SAN FRANCISCO PHOTODIARY I

Good morning everyone!

After a long trip back to Madrid, I am finally made it home. After almost three weeks of traveling, I seriously needed to touch base. After taking a couple of days to rest and freshen up, I am now ready to take on whatever is left for this year. When all is done with, I’ll be going back home to spend Christmas in Galicia.
Today’s post is about my first impressions of San Francisco. On our first day there, we had an uncluttered schedule. Therefore, it was great opportunity to take a look around the city. We ended up going for a walk around the port and more precisely, Fisherman’s Wharf. Over there, we bumped into a very special spot, with dozens of shops, all decorated for Christmas and… Sea Lions! It seems weird that these animals would choose to hang out around that spot but it seemed that they were having a pretty good time. From what I could see, they spend their day relaxing and taking in the sun on the port’s wooden pontoons.
After our walk in the port, we went on to the lovely neighbourhood of Sausalito before taking the ferry back to our hotel (we even passed next to the famous island of Alcatraz). All in all, quite an adventurous first hours in a city which I have now chosen as one of my all time favourites.
I hope you enjoy the pictures and the look. PS: the scarf and beanie from Levi’s (and kept me very warm :P)
Have a great monday :)!
